Felicity’s bunny blanket

This was for  Felicity’s 4th Birthday.  I’d had the bunny fabric for 16 years but couldn’t bear to give it away.  So I pieced it together and made this quilt for her babydoll.  The quilt ended up being big enough for Felicity to use!  Now there’s times when she “can’t” go to bed without it.

Eric and Rebecca’s wedding gift

For my brother’s wedding gift, I made them a picnic blanket and put together a picnic basket to go with it.

I used 2 yards of 45″ wide print fabric for top, and 60″ wide red corduroy for the backing. I folded the red over and topstiched around the entire thing.

This fabric reminded my of the cute little houses in Germany, or cuccoo clocks.

Lincoln’s cowboy quilt

Our good friends had a baby boy after four daughters.  They needed something that was definately  “all boy”  so I came up with this baby quilt.  It was the first pieced quilt I’d done, so the rows don’t line up perfectly, but they (and I) LOVE it!

About Missy

I'm a wife to an awesome Army vet, and mother to four daughters and three step-sons! I love to sew. I learned to sew in 4H, and from my Oma while staying with her for a week or two in the summers as a young girl. I love to bake desserts. I would love to live on lots of land and own lots of animals. I've always been drawn to nature which has lead me towards a more natural and healthy lifestyle which I'm finally trying to bring back into my life, and those precious lives around me.
