Christmas surprise revealed

My family has had a special Christmas tradition ever since I was a little girl.  Santa comes to visit during our Christmas party,   bringing his bag with a small present for each person.  My Opa started it, and then my Dad took over as Santa.

After my Mom saw the cute candy cane ornament toy I had made for a giveaway several months ago, she decided that’s what Santa needed for his Sack of Goodies.

I made 40 candy canes…

and “Mrs. Clause” bought some really cute German charms to embellish them with.

Each family received a candy cane for each person in their family, plus an ornament made from a cookie cutter with a picture of the children inside and embellished with more German charms.

What a great job my Mom… I mean Mrs Clause…  did on finishing up this special surprise for everyone!

About Missy

I'm a wife to an awesome Army vet, and mother to four daughters and three step-sons! I love to sew. I learned to sew in 4H, and from my Oma while staying with her for a week or two in the summers as a young girl. I love to bake desserts. I would love to live on lots of land and own lots of animals. I've always been drawn to nature which has lead me towards a more natural and healthy lifestyle which I'm finally trying to bring back into my life, and those precious lives around me.

Wow- a whopping 40 stuffed canes! Those look delicious! I love the fabric you used too! They look vintage (I’m biased… I love vintage *winks*)
And they can keep them for years to come! Fabulous!
