I love Tasha Tudor. The way she would draw makes me wish I could’ve been right there alongside her, experiencing provincial life. Even though I don’t really live her kind of ‘back to the basics’ kind of life, I can really appreciate what she was doing.
I have many of the books she has written and/or illustrated, and I also have some illustrations from her Fairy Tale book.
My very first Tasha Tudor book was A Time to Keep. I received it as a gift from my parents when I was just a young girl.
It meant so much to me… especially since the girl in the story had a birthday in August just like me!
Looking at these pages (even now) makes me dream of having a birthday party with little wooden animal favors, meringue toadstools,
and a cake floating down the river!
thanks to Clarise @ Storybook Woods for hosting the Tasha Tudor party.
Happy Tasha Tudor day. You do have a wonderful collection, you lucky girl. Enjoy and thank you for joining in. Clarice

Happy Tasha Tudor Day! Love your books. I too have childhood memories of her art through books.
I just bought this book from a library book sale for 50 cents and it’s so lovely. I haven’t read it to my daughter yet, because I want to save it a bit for when she’s old enough to want to try some of these holidays with me.
Her favorite book right now is Tasha Tudor’s A is for Annabelle. Such sweet illustrations, and she loves looking at the “little girl and little doll”/
What a great collection of Tasha Tudor books. The art really is wonderful. Thanks also for stopping by my blog and leaving such kind comments. I really look forward to seeing you at the Cloche Party. It should be such fun. We are in Surprise, just the other side of the world . lol Hugs, Marty
Hi Missy

Tasha Tudor was such a special part of my childhood. So lovely. We also adored Joan Wash Anglund- in fact we met her and she drew a picture of me in a book (as a way of signing). It is such a treasure to me.:) Lori
