September Happenings

Fall can’t come soon enough for me!

We’ve been experiencing record highs this past week (around 110-114 degrees) just in time for our downstairs A/C unit to break.  It’s been 84-90 inside our house depending on the time of day.  luckily we have a seperate A/C for our bedrooms upstairs, so we can sleep comfortably.  the bad part is that the computers, my creative space, and the kitchen is downstairs in the heat.  Since we are renting, we have to use our landlord’s people to fix it and they are taking their sweet time getting it done.

I have quite a bit going on in September….

finishing up making some fun kitchen towels for a personal swap…

making 8 simple costumes for a church thing on the 10th…

2 blog parties… there’s still time to join these!!!

  1. Raggedy Ann Birthday Party on the 7th. hosted @
  2. Fall Cloche Party on the 11th hosted @ A Stroll Thru Life

2 swaps…

  1. Fall Swap hosted by Morning Glories and Moonflowers    (which I have already gotten everything together and now I just need to make the ***.)
  2. Handmade Halloween Swap hosted by Foxgloves, Fabric and Folly !!

and A blessing gown for my niece.

Of course autumn is the time when I start thinking about Christmas presents. <what should I make? what should I buy?> hmmm, I sure would love to trade my sevices (or stuff from my shop) for some wonderful gifts for my family!!!  anyone interested????

well, I’m melting and can’t think strait so I’m going to go back to my cool bedroom now.

A/C guy came and fixed it today! yay! now we have to gool this house back down to bearable which will take about 24 hours… can’t wait to be cool again!

About Missy

I'm a wife to an awesome Army vet, and mother to four daughters and three step-sons! I love to sew. I learned to sew in 4H, and from my Oma while staying with her for a week or two in the summers as a young girl. I love to bake desserts. I would love to live on lots of land and own lots of animals. I've always been drawn to nature which has lead me towards a more natural and healthy lifestyle which I'm finally trying to bring back into my life, and those precious lives around me.
