January’s Enchantment

As you may know, I’m in Val’s Year Of Enchantment swap where I exhange a magically themed ornament with a different partner each month of 2010.  By next Christmas, I’ll have 12 enchanting ornaments from 12 amazing women.

My partner for January was Niki. she sent me three cute Christmas picks, tissues, and two golden pinecones along with the beautiful ornament that she made

I’m not sure what this technique is called but it is very pretty! Niki did a great job! Thank you Niki!!!

 Here’s what I sent…
Arizona dirt, candy, and the ornament in the handstamped & glittered box

I used a small pastry tin and glued a glittered pinecone from Arizona in it, moss, and an acorn charm hanging from it.

Here’s a link to the post Niki made about what she received from me 🙂  http://yarnigrasswapperspot.blogspot.com/2010/02/piece-of-home.html

On the YOE (year of enchantment) blog, Val has a monthly activity challenge.  in January we were challenged to create ornaments for the birds so I had the kids at school make pinecone birdfeeders and orange slices to hang in the trees around the school.  you can see the post I did about it HERE.

About Missy

I'm a wife to an awesome Army vet, and mother to four daughters and three step-sons! I love to sew. I learned to sew in 4H, and from my Oma while staying with her for a week or two in the summers as a young girl. I love to bake desserts. I would love to live on lots of land and own lots of animals. I've always been drawn to nature which has lead me towards a more natural and healthy lifestyle which I'm finally trying to bring back into my life, and those precious lives around me.
