Work in Progress Wednesday

When I went to my 9 year old daughter’s school science camp last week, I took along some embroidery and smocking to keep me occupied.

The kids were busy with their science activities most of the time so I sat at this picnic table in front of our cabin and sewed away. The weather was beautiful.. just right for outdoor handwork!

Do you want to see what I was working on?

I got the shadow embroidery done on a dress I started making for my youngest daughter four years ago.  sad, I know.  but at least it’s getting done now!

I also got the smocking done on a linen romper that I will be adding to my shop after it’s sewn together.

here is a peek at the style of romper I’m making.

About Missy

I'm a wife to an awesome Army vet, and mother to four daughters and three step-sons! I love to sew. I learned to sew in 4H, and from my Oma while staying with her for a week or two in the summers as a young girl. I love to bake desserts. I would love to live on lots of land and own lots of animals. I've always been drawn to nature which has lead me towards a more natural and healthy lifestyle which I'm finally trying to bring back into my life, and those precious lives around me.

  1. I love your shadow work design of the musicians. Is that for sale anywhere?
